REVIEW △ HUAWEI HONOR 9

I get a lot of questions about my phone and photos that I take, so I decided to make a review of the current phone that I am using, which is Huawei Honor 9.
Honestly, I was an Apple fan since always and I never thought I am going to change iOS for Android, until last year when I got a chance to review Huawei p10 plus and yeah, I was surprised and amazed by how much I loved it.

I think that If I'd be buying a phone, I'd definitely choose that one, just not the plus version (a bit too big for me), even though I have to say I got used to it after a while. BUT, we are not here to talk about p10, but the Honor 9. I didn't really find much difference between this two phones and generally, I am very much satisfied, so not looking for a change right now. ;)

If you are searching for a phone which offers a lot of what the high-end phones do right now, but for a reasonable price or let's say much lower price, than the Honor 9 is the right fit for you.

What I love about it is that it has a great design - attractive shiny glass design that stands out and fingerprint sensor on the front of the phone, below the screen. The glass body is reflective, but not like a mirror. It diffracts light at various angles to create a great effect and catches your eye immediately.

And, as much as I love this glass, I think now is the time I also warn you about something.
First thing that you do when you get your Honor 9, is that you also get a bumper or else it will drop and it will break. Yup, tested, it happened. Right at the beginning, so trust me and don't make the same mistake as I did. I warned you. ;)

Another thing that is really important for me is that the phone that I'm using fits well into my hand. You know, it has to be easy to work with it and also it has to be a pocket size, because otherwise is just too much of a hassle for me.

The Honor 9 comes in at 147.3 x 70.9 x 7.45mm and only weighs 155g, which means it's easy to carry in your pockets and also easy to work with it (take photos all  day long for ex.). ;) It features a 5-15-inch display with a 1080p resolution. It's a Full HD panel that offers a sharp display. Sticking with the Full HD panel, also contributes to a better battery life, which brings me to another very important thing to me.

I am a heavy user and I like to spend the day without searching for electricity to charge my phone or carry a pack of three power banks when I am leaving for a trip for half of a day.
Here, all the honors to the Honor 9. ;) Battery life usually lasts for a whole day and also the phone has a supercharge mode, which means your phone is ready to go in about 20 minutes. Pff, all I need. Stop, drink a coffee and your phone is ready to go. Just like that. :)

Now, I am not going to get too technical, because that's not really my thing, I just want to share my experience with you guys. As a blogger and a content creator, phone is basically my life. I use it for work in so many different ways, that without it, I'd be completely lost. It has to be fast, work perfectly, have a decent battery life and take great photos, which brings me to the camera.

It has a dual-lens camera on the back that allows for interesting wide aperture shots and features a 20MP sensor (monochrome) working in tandem with a 12MP shooter (rgb).
It offers quite a lot of options to play with photography, which is absolutely delightful. It has a possibility of a wide aperture mode, a monochrome one - which btw, takes really nice shots, Light painting mode, 3D-creator, night shot that works great for a smartphone and more. Even I haven't exploited all the possibilities yet, but am looking forward to get there. ;)

There is something that I miss though and that's optical image stabilization, which means it's hard to take good low-light shots and there is a lot of struggle when taking a video. For me this was a big minus, since I love to take video, especially since IG stories became a thing. This is also the reason I would go with p10, not the Honor 9 if I'd be buying a phone right now. But, on the other hand, if you want to have a phone that offers almost everything and save a lot of money, Honor 9 is the one + it's for the brave ones! ;)

Some examples of the photos that I took with the Honor 9

First, let me show you the result of a front camera. It makes great selfies! ;)

and the rest are the examples of the photos I took on my trips. Of course, it's not the same quality as camera, but still, pretty decent one! Totally worth sharing photos also here on the blog. ;)

I hope you liked the review and most of all, I hope you found it useful. If you have any additional questions about something I didn't mention, I'll be happy to answer all of your questions.

Don't forget to follow me also on my social media, so you won't miss anything that's going on. ;)
Thank you and wish you guys a wonderful start of the week!

Love,  Maja
